Scottish Government Analytical Exchange Programme 2018
Applications by Friday 2 March
Bids are invited from voluntary organisations in Scotland for very short, sharp projects - up to ten person days - where statistical or analytical skills could make a difference to your organisation. Individuals or small groups of Scottish Government analysts (one or two people), will provide analytical consultancy to help solve problems in your organisation, delivered at no cost to you.
This scheme has run for the last five years, with the Scottish Government analysts supporting around 150 projects and providing well over 500 days to third sector organisations. Most placements were about evaluation methodologies – how you measure success, bringing together evidence around a subject or data management/making the most of the data you collect. The programme offers the potential to look at other things, like data visualisation or how you structure a significant problem.
Matching analysts to organisations will happen soon after with a mutually beneficial time agreed to undertake the work. Based upon the level of interest last year, there may need to be some prioritisation. Shorter pieces of work may be favoured to maximise the spread of this scheme.
